LONDON, June 3 (LSN) – The laxity of Britain’s abortion law was revealed last week in a case of a woman who has   had two abortions, and was seeking a third, because she feared the children might inherit some of their fathers’  facial characteristics which the woman found disagreeable. The law, which in practice allows abortion on demand,  is supposed to permit abortions only if two doctors think there is substantial risk to the physical or mental   health of the mother.  According to a report in Sunday’s Electronic Telegraph, the woman felt her first partner was too short, and   complained her next partner had “slanted eyes.” After a third request for an abortion, this time because she said   her partner’s mouth was too large, the woman’s doctor hesitated to refer her for a hospital abortion, whereupon she   sought the “procedure” at a free-standing abortuary. The woman miscarried, however, while plans were being made.
