LONDON, England, June 26, 2002 (LSN.ca) – The world’s first “lesbian sperm donor” service, designed to help lesbians artificially inseminate themselves, has been created in England, reports the BBC. “Man Not Included,” the name of the web site, finds sperm for lesbians who want to have a baby.  John Gonzales, who operates the site, said: “If a child is going to be loved and cared for, to me it doesn’t matter if it is two women or a man and a woman bringing it up. …” Many lesbians desperate for children resorted to advertising or asking friends to find a sperm donor, he said. The site is designed primarily to help lesbian couples in “long-term relationships,” he added, but said he would consider each case individually were single lesbians to apply.  Josephine Quintavalle, Director of the pro-life group Comment on Reproductive Ethics, said: “The whole idea must be vigorously resisted and men must see this initiative for what it is—yet another attack on their role in society. … The male must not be reduced to a vial of anonymous sperm, and the rights of children to enjoy real fathers must be protected.”  To read BBC News coverage see: https://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/health/newsid_2062000/2062212.stm   The UK lesbian baby-making site is: www.mannotincluded.com while Calgary-based homosexuals and lesbians have a lesbian baby-making site at: https://www.lesbian.org/lesbian-moms/
