LONDON, England, June 17, 2002 (LSN.ca) – An English psychotherapist reports treating “one patient a month who is suffering from intractable guilt, self-denigration and anxiety as a result of an abortion.”  Dr. K. D. Phillips’ remarks,in a letter to the editor of London’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, lend credibility to a woman’s lawsuit against the National Health Service for failing to warn her of possible trauma from having an abortion. Dr. Phillips says women are often traumatized by the inhumane treatment they receive from nursing staff while getting an abortion. “Not infrequently,” Dr. Phillips writes, “the attitudes of ‘I murdered my baby’ or ‘I am a worthless person’ remain with the patient and damage her marital and parental relationships.”  To read the full text of the letter see: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/Content/displayPopup.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2002/06/17/dt1701.xml&site=15   For related LifeSite coverage of England’s abortion trauma lawsuit see: https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2002/jun/02061206.html
