UNITED NATIONS, June 7, 2002 (LSN.ca) – The United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women has again attempted to badger a pro-life country into legalizing abortion.  A UN report on committee proceedings concerning the island nation of on St. Kitts and Nevis notes that “several members of the Committee pointed out that illegal abortion presented a serious problem” and that abortion is illegal in the country. The committee demanded to know ” What kind of educational and family planning programmes were available to women who wanted to avoid unwanted pregnancies?”  See the UN report on the proceedings:  https://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2002/wom1340.doc.htm
