Otunnu, Special Representative of the Secretary General for Children and Armed Conflict, added his voice to the chorus of calls for the International Criminal Court to include “sexual violence” in its jurisdiction. “The crime of rape and other forms of sexual violence in the context of armed conflict should be defined as a war crime, with provision for the severest punishment,” he said.
