NEW YORK, Oct 30 (LSN) – The United Nations Environment Programme sponsored a meeting on October 20-21 entitled “Religion and Ecology: Discovering the Common Grounds” which pushed a one-world earth-  worshipping religion. UN Reform chief Maurice Strong was on hand to further the plans for creating a universally accepted “Earth Charter” by means of formulating “planetary ethics.”  As is consistently the case at these UN meetings, Pantheism was aggressively marketed as the appropriate compromise religion for all people while Christianity, Judaism and Islam were denigrated. The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute reported that the meeting was co-sponsored by Harvard and Bucknell Universities. CAFHRI reminded pro-lifers that the Earth Charter promotes abortion.
