UN TELLS LIBYA TO ELIMINATE SPANKING IN FAMILIES
GENEVA, Jan 26 (LSN) – Last Friday, the Child Rights Committee, a UN Committee monitoring the Convention on the Rights of the Child, completed its report and recommendations for Libya. Among its primary recommendations, the Committee advised the Libyan Government to “work to eliminate the use of corporal punishment within the family environment.”
