WASHINGTON, July 30, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – All of the Summer 2012 Crossroads pro-life walks across America, Canada & Spain have decided to finish walking in honor of their friend and fellow walker, Andrew Moore, who passed away last week in an accident while walking near Indianapolis.

“After discussing it with their families and spending some time in prayer, all of the volunteers have decided to finish walking as a testament to the life Andrew lived and in honor of the dedication he had for building a Culture of Life” said Jim Nolan, Crossroads president. “We are not surprised by their decision to continue. These are some of the most amazing and dedicated young people I’ve ever met.” continued Nolan.

The walkers have decided that they will suspend walking at night for the remainder of the summer in honor of Andrew. Since he walked at night, the sentiment of all the walkers is that they consider Andrew still an integral part of the team. “We believe that he will be walking those miles in spirit with us” said Caleb Glaser, walk leader of the central route that Andrew was a part of.

It has just been learned that one of Andrew’s uncles, Paul Brilliant, will be joining the group for the last week of the walk to continue on in Andrew’s place. “Paul is flying in from his home in the United Kingdom to attend Andrew’s funeral in California and will then continue on to meet the group in Steubenville, Ohio” said Nolan. “He really wants to represent Andrew’s family and be with the group as they make it to Washington, DC” Nolan continued.
