KOSOVO, Serbia, Aug 16 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Last month Population Research institute (PRI) published a damning report about the United Nations Family Planning Association (UNFPA), alleging that the UN group began its distribution of “reproductive health kits” among the Kosovar refugees at the invitation of Yugoslavian president Slobodan Milosevic. UNFPA reacted to the report calling it false and misleading, but last week admitted otherwise.

A PRI bulletin issued today indicates that last week UNFPA spokesman Alex Marshall admitted that UNFPA was invited to conduct a “reproductive health” program in Kosovo – and only Kosovo – by the Yugoslavian government last December 1998, after the ethnic cleansing campaign had begun. A LifeSite report in April noted the Serbian government’s plan to “limit or forbid the enormous increase in the Kosovo birthrate,” in particular the damning comments of Serbian Minister for Family Concerns Rada Trajkovic in June 1998.
