CALIFORNIA, Apr 29 (LSN) – The United Methodist Church, the second-largest Protestant denomination in the US after the Southern Baptists, is close to legitimizing homosexuality.  American Family Radio News reported today that “the directors of the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society are asking the General Conference to delete the Book of Discipline’s opposition to homosexual practice.” In the Book, homosexuality is described as “incompatible with Christian teaching.” The directive from the board will be considered next year at the Church’s General Conference.
