VANCOUVER, Dec 9 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Ted Gerk, of the Pro-Life Resource Centre reported yesterday that the University of British Columbia Ethics Committee investigation of the procurement of fetal tissue is “a sham.”

Gerk told LifeSite that the ethics committee will find no evidence of wrongdoing in the case since this is the same ethics committee that permitted the work of abortionist Ellen Wiebe, who began experimenting on women with toxic medications to procure chemical abortions.

Gerk commented that “the UBC ethics committee lacks one important aspect.  ethics.”

Gerk accompanied his release with the confidential order form for aborted baby lungs by UBC researcher Dr. Vugrnam C. Venkatesh.

The order form or “confidential protocol” as it is named, requests lungs of 16-24 week gestation aborted babies and specifies that they are to be but on ice and shipped by International Fed Ex.

Gerk notes that the words “bill our account” on the protocol suggest strongly that UBC researchers had a long-standing relationship with companies that supply fresh fetal tissue from aborted babies.  “It is time that the public knew,” said Gerk, “it is time to end the conspiracy of silence surrounding the use of fetal tissue.”
