VATICAN, Feb 2 ( – Writing in L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican’s Italian daily newspaper last week, Michel Schooyans, professor emeritus of the University of Louvain lashed out at the UN and its nonsensical depopulation agenda. Schooyans asserts that the 1998 report of the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, has confirmed that,  contrary to UN projections, world demographic growth is decreasing everywhere, and that in many countries, the population is increasingly older. Therefore, Schooyans says, “it is necessary to make a ‘radical’ revision of the 20-year plan of action which the 1994 U.N. Cairo Conference on population prepared, whose objective was to control ‘at any cost’ the growth of world population.”

Rather than having countries report to the UN on their efforts in depopulation, professor Schooyans suggests that UN “agencies must explain where they get their messianic capriciousness from, which leads them to make abortion, sterilization, rejection, etc. the so-called ‘new rights of man’ and reduce the family to a simple form among a variety of forms of a precarious pact of cohabitation.” He warns that radical depopulation fanatics “sometimes in the heart of the U.N. itself” make “perverse use” of scientific data to have their false notions accepted.
