(LifeSiteNews) – Canada’s federal government will ban democratically elected Members of Parliament and staff who have not had COVID jabs from accessing the nation’s center of democracy, the House of Commons.
In a statement sent yesterday, the Board of Internal Economy, which is the body responsible for regulating House rules, announced the new draconian mandate.
“Effective Monday, November 22, 2021, individuals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be allowed within the House of Commons Precinct,” the board said in its statement.
“This requirement will apply to any person who wishes to enter the House of Commons Precinct, including Members and their staff, political research office employees, Administration employees, members of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, parliamentary business visitors, contractors and consultants.”
The board said that only those with a “medical contraindication to full vaccination against COVID-19” will be able to provide “proof of a recent negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result” as an alternative to being jabbed.
Children under 12 are exempt from having to show proof of jab. Current COVID rules in Canada’s Parliament include mask mandates and a ban on all visitors and tours. The rules are to be reviewed in January.
The Board of Internal Economy is made up of nine MPs total and is chaired by Liberal MP Anthony Rota.
The Liberals under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the NDP, and the Bloc Québécois said that all of their candidates who ran in the 2021 election had the COVID jabs.
As for the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC), the party never disclosed whether all candidates who ran in the election had the COVID jabs. The party policy is that they support the jabs but oppose mandates, and that rapid antigen tests should be allowed as an alternative.
In a statement, CPC MP Blake Richards said a vaccine mandate cannot be made by only a small portion of MPs.
“As we said during the election, workplace health and safety can be assured through vaccination or the demonstration of a recent negative rapid test result. While we encourage everyone who can be vaccinated to get vaccinated, we cannot agree to seven MPs, meeting in secret, deciding which of the 338 MPs, just elected by Canadians, can enter the House of Commons to represent their constituents,” Richards wrote.
There are two CPC MPs on the Board of Internal Economy, and Richards’ note implies that because only seven supported the jab mandates, the CPC MPs opposed it.
CPC leader Erin O’Toole met with Trudeau today regarding the House jab mandate, with details of the meeting to come.
Trudeau has set November 22 for when parliament will resume, which is more than two months after he won a minority government in the 2021 federal election.
Mandating COVID jabs for all sitting MPs is the most recent COVID rule enacted by Trudeau’s federal government.
In early October, Trudeau announced unprecedented COVID-19 jab mandates for all federal workers and said the un-jabbed will no longer be able to travel by air, boat, or train.
Along with mandating all federal workers be jabbed, Trudeau said that all federally regulated industries such as airlines and marine transportation would also have to mandate COVID injections.
However, in August, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) said it is “unacceptable” that Canada’s federal government would use “discipline” to mandate its new requirement that all civil servants receive COVID-19 vaccines by October.
In September, the union representing Canada’s national police force, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), said it would stand by officers who decide to not get the COVID-19 jabs.
The COVID-19 injections approved for emergency use in Canada, including the Pfizer jab for ages 12 and up, all have connections to cells derived from aborted babies.
All four have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young, healthy men.
It’s now widely known that people who have taken the experimental COVID-19 jabs can still contract and spread the disease. COVID vaccine trials have never produced evidence that vaccines stop infection or transmission. They do not even claim to reduce hospitalization, but the measurement of success is in preventing severe symptoms of COVID-19.
Dr. Peter McCullough, M.D., an eminent internist and cardiologist from the United States, recently affirmed that against COVID-19, “[for] people under 50 who fundamentally have no health risks, there’s no scientific rationale for them to ever become vaccinated.”
He also said that those who develop COVID have “complete and durable immunity. And (that’s) a very important principle: complete and durable. You can’t beat natural immunity.”
