CHICAGO, Apr 9 (LSN) – Lawyers for the National Organization of Women (NOW) are worried about the upcoming testimonies of Norma McCorvey and Sandra Cano in their crucial racketeering case against prominent US pro-life leaders. Ms McCorvey and Mrs Cano were the “Roe” and “Doe” of the 1973 Supreme Court cases Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, which legalized abortion in the US. Both women have since converted to the pro-life cause.  Realizing the women could seriously undermine their attempt to silence the US pro-life movement,  NOW and company obtained a ruling to conceal the women’s history from the jury. Joe Scheidler,  principle defendant in the case, said the move was predictable. “When someone is inconvenient to them, be it a witness or a preborn baby, they simply try to conceal the truth of who that person is.”
