CNSNews.com reports that Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore Monday signed legislation requiring informed consent and a 24-hour waiting period for women seeking an abortion. The Virginia Department of Health will develop information on the stages of pregnancy during an unborn child’s development. It will also provide an index of services that are available to pregnant women throughout the state including, financial help, adoption information, health services and tips on parenting.
