A study in the Annals of Internal Medicine notes that even when cancer doctors are asked the most biased questions in favour of physician assisted suicide and euthanasia, the majority still reject the idea. Among oncologists surveyed, only 22.5% supported physician-assisted suicide for a terminally ill prostate cancer patient with severe pain uncontrolled by optimal pain management, the report indicates.
