American president Bill Clinton’s Justice Department has interfered in a local religious freedom vs. homosexual rights issue, filing a brief in favour of an ordinance that the appellant says would force him to “hire openly homosexual persons in violation of his religious beliefs.” 

An American father is trying to get custody of his unborn child. So far, however, he has been unsuccessful with Judge Robert P. Doherty ruling that the question of custody does not exist until the child is born. Focus on the Family disagrees with this decision.

Leading American euthanasia practitioner, Jack Kevorkian had yet another motion to be released from prison for health reasons rejected by the judge. He is serving a 10 to 25 years in prison for administering a lethal injection to a Michigan man.
