The Mesa, Ariz., school board voted this week to remove certain elective abortions from the procedures covered under the district’s health insurance, the Arizona Republic reports. The new school board policy, which cleared in a 5-0 vote, bars coverage for elective abortions with exceptions for those performed when the procedure is “medically necessary” or in cases of rape,  incest or fetal defects.  (azcentral.com)
