Jerry Britt, a 62-year-old blind man, is walking across the United States. Britt, a recent masters graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio joined up with Crossroads, Inc., a team of college kids who have set out on a pilgrimage from San Francisco to Washington, DC, as a witness to the sacredness of human life. 

The Supreme Court has ruled that public school districts cannot let students lead stadium   crowds in prayer before high school football games. Chief Justice Rehnquist, who was   on the dissenting side of the 6-3 vote, wrote that the court’s opinion “bristles with hostility to all things religious in public life.” 

Lenora Fulani, a maverick left-wing politician who had become an unlikely political ally of   conservative Pat Buchanan, quit her position as co-chair of his presidential campaign on   Monday. Fulani was offended by Buchanan’s uncompromising pro-life stand.
