Conservative legal experts are angered but not surprised that the US Supreme Court on Monday threw out a portion of the Communications Decency Act that required cable operators to either completely block out pornographic programming, or show it only from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. – when children are less likely to be watching. 

The American Family Association of Michigan says administrators at one public school may have broken the law when they forced students to attend a seminar presented by homosexual activists. The “Diversity Day” program was presented at Grand Haven High School on May 1, and featured homosexuals who parents say told their children that homosexual behavior is natural.  Gary Glenn, president of the AFA of Michigan, says school officials forced some students to attend the seminar against their will.

Last week the New York Times reported that the four major television networks in the United States have rejected a pro-abortion advertisement. ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox decided not to screen an ad sponsored by the Pro-Choice Public Education Project which featured a fifteen-year-old girl surrounded by three middle-aged men making decisions for her such as which soft drink to buy. The narrator ended with: “You wouldn’t want some old guys in Washington to make choices for you. Why let them make the most important choice of all? Fight for your right for a safe and legal abortion.” (Pro-Life Infonet)

Republican presidential candidate Alan Keyes is ready to join the Constitution Party if George W. Bush chooses a running mate who does not oppose abortion or if the GOP softens its platform plank against abortion. 

Five pro-life police officers caused a stir by joining in a pro-life picket while off duty.  The officers, dressed in plain clothes, were among more than 100 pro-liifers protesters who picketed outside Westminster Presbyterian Church which consents to one of its members being an abortionist.  (Pro-Life E-News)
