The Conservative News Service reported today that more than 125 noncommercial television broadcasters may be forced to drop religious programming after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ruled that broadcasts “primarily devoted to religious exhortation,  proselytizing or statements of personally-held religious views or beliefs” are prohibited   under the agency’s educational programming licenses. 

In a startling report today, WorldNetDaily claims that the separation between media mogul Ted Turner and his wife, Jane Fonda, was prompted in part by Fonda’s embrace of “born-again”  evangelical Christianity.

The Catholic News Service reported today that a program called “A Safe Place for Newborns”  set up in St. Paul in Dakota County this month, offers unwanted and abandoned babies hope.  The program allows any mother to leave her unharmed newborn, up to 72 hours old, in a hospital emergency room or with any hospital employee in the county. She will not be prosecuted and need not give her name. All three Dakota County hospitals have agreed to   participate.

A felony fraud conviction against notorious abortionist Steven chase Brigham was overturned on Dec. 22 by the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division.  Of the Morning Call reported that Brigham still faces a 120day jail sentence and $7,000 payment for back taxes on the misdemeanor convictions. He has until Jan. 22 to appeal.
