RIVERSIDE, California, June 22 (LSN) – Five nurses resigned from a county health clinic after they were told they must dispense the “morning after” pill. The nurses indicated that participating in abortion was against their religious beliefs. A sixth nurse has also refused to dispense the abortifacient and hopes to be transferred from the Riverside Neighborhood Health Clinic.  Ken Cohen, director of the county Health Services Agency explained that nurses have to be forced to dispense the abortive drugs while under his employ because “we didn’t want to see our staff impose their view, from a religious perspective. I think they have to put the patients’ needs ahead of theirs.”  See the story at:  https://www.sacbee.com/news/calreport/calrep_story.cgi?N32.HTML   (with files from Pro-Life E-News Canada)
