WASHINGTON, July 15 (LSN) Leading American papers, the New York Times, Washington   Post and USA Today are carrying ads this week promising hope and healing to homosexuals.  A coalition of pro-family groups representing more than 30 million people is paying for the ads which combat the myth that homosexuality is genetically predetermined.

“Our society has been fed lies for far too long,” said Robert Knight, a director at Family Research Council, one of the ads’ sponsors. “We have been told that 10% of the population is homosexual, that homosexuality is genetic rather than behavioral, and that you can be happy and ‘gay.’ These misconceptions are tearing the moral fabric of this nation. Although the truth may hurt, it can also heal,” Knight said.

The message of healing for homosexuals has proven to be highly offensive to homosexual   activists because it exposes the falacy of the claim that homosexuality is genetically   programmed. Not surprisingly, therefore, groups offering such help to homosexuals operate in a low-key fashion, prefering to avoid the political fray.
