WASHINGTON, June 16 (LSN) – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott was attacked today by homosexual activist groups and the media for expressing the traditional Christian understanding of homosexuality. In a taping session for “The Armstrong Williams Show” to be broadcast nationally this week, Lott was asked if he believes homosexual activity is a sin. “Yeah, it is,” Lott replied, adding, “You should still love that person You should not try to mistreat them or treat them as outcasts You should try to show them a way to deal with that problem, just like alcohol … or sex addiction … or kleptomaniacs.”
