WASHINGTON, December 4, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In signing a bill to promote adoption, President George W. Bush promoted life and large families.  “The legislation I’m about to sign today sends a clear message: Our society is building a culture that values every life, and our government strongly supports adoption,” said Bush at the ceremony Tuesday.  On hand at the signing were several families who have adopted children.  Turning to one of the families with seven children, four of whom were adopted, the President said, “Here’s one example standing with me. It’s what we call a good-sized American family.”  He said, “Diana and Chris Martin, good, solid Americans, a good loving mom and dad, are with us with seven children—four of them adopted at ages 6, 8, 10, and 11 years old.”  The President outlined several financial incentives for parents who choose to adopt children as well as an administration website, www.adoptuskids.org , which has already helped to join nearly 2,000 children with adoptive parents. “In other words, if you want to be a part of this movement of love in America, go to the website,” said President Bush.  Hear the audio recoding of the signing ceremony:  https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/12/20031202-1.a.ram
