GREENSBORO, N.C., Mar 30 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Wednesday the Central Conference of American Rabbis voted to approve a resolution allowing rabbis to preside at homosexual “marriage” ceremonies.  Due to the contention over the issue the meeting at the annual convention was held privately and only a voice vote was taken.

Critics fear that the move will further alienate the Reform Jewish community from the more orthodox branches of Judaism since the Torah clearly condemns homosexual sex.

The resolution said the relationship between active homosexual partners deserves affirmation by the Jewish marriage ritual. It called for sample ceremonies to be developed for such unions.
