U.S. SEEKS AGREEMENT WITH NATO TO AVOID INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT

WASHINGTON, August 22, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Richard Prosper, US ambassador at large for war crimes has revealed that the United States is seeking an agreement with NATO to ensure its soldiers are not subject to the political prosecutions of the International Criminal Court. The European Union has chastised Romania for signing such an agreement with the U.S. ahead of a NATO meeting at which Romania hopes to be invited to join the organization.
