WASHINGTON, Oct 20 (LSN) – The US Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to a ruling that created a no- protest zone around the home of a New Jersey abortionist. Catholic World news reported that a lower-court ruling “barred pro-life protesters from picketing on the street along his front property line and limited protests outside the buffer zone to 15 people for no more than one hour every two weeks.” Although he agreed with the Supreme Courts denial of the hearing based on unrelated grounds, Justice Antonin Scalia said that the lower court ruling “makes a mockery of First Amendment rights.”“This case approves a degree of restriction upon free speech that is unparalleled in the opinions of this court,” he wrote.
