WASHINGTON, May 28 (LSN) – On Tuesday, the Supreme Court refused to hear a challenge of President Clinton's Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, and similar state laws, which suppress freedom of speech and assembly around abortion centres. The pro-life American Center for Law and Justice sought to challenge the constitutionality of the law, on the basis of a North Carolina lower court ruling which found both state and federal laws of this nature unconstitutional.
