BUDAPEST, Dec 16 (LSN)  A European population conference last week was warned by a Vatican delegate about the seriousness of Europe’s aging population. Catholic World News reported yesterday that the delegate,  Archbishop Karl-Josef Rauber, observed: “We will soon come to the point at which only a third of the European population is working full-time, and they must absorb the costs of social programs covering the two-thirds who are not working.”  The main focus of Rauber’s talk was the family. He said that the family, one of the issues “of utmost concern before us … is the basic unit of society … is based on marriage … and the commitment of husband and wife in marriage.” Exposing the UN’s false notion of “health,” the Archbishop said, “The right to health and to reproductive health should not include abortion which denies the right to life to … a human being.”
