NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (LifeSiteNews) – A pro-abortion student at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) was caught on a viral video rationalizing her physical assault of a conservative campus activist on the grounds that “you made me upset.”
Campus Reform spoke to an unidentified field staffer with the conservative Leadership Institute (CR’s parent organization), who says that he was speaking with others about abortion when a female leftist student (also unidentified) “just kicked me in the leg twice,” after which he started recording and followed as she seemingly attempted to walk away.

The assailant gave a halfhearted “sorry” in between explaining “you made me upset.” When the victim said “you assaulted me” and asked someone else to get the police, she became more flustered and demanded he give her his phone, and when he refused shouted, “freedom of f***ing speech, jackass, gimme your phone,” then pulled out her own phone and offered to call the police herself.
She went on to claim “you made me have an emotional reaction on purpose” and as she became more irate struck the speaker again, tearfully insisting that publicly discussing abortion in a way she personally disliked constituted “textbook abuse.”
CR added that it “reached out to Southern Connecticut State University for comment and requested information regarding any campus police or disciplinary investigation” and will update its report upon reply.
Despite long-standing pro-abortion efforts to paint the pro-life movement as “violent extremists,” violence on behalf of abortion has always been far more prevalent than commonly acknowledged, rationalized by the narrative that wanting to defend preborn children from violence constitutes “oppression of women.”
In February 2024, the conservative Family Research Council reported that violent attacks and threats on Christian churches across the United States more than doubled from 2022 to 2023, with a significant portion of the most recent violence motivated by pro-abortion anger at the U.S. Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade in June 2022. Yet the federal government under former President Joe Biden was far more aggressive in prosecuting pro-lifers than their opponents.
Since then, the Trump administration has instructed the U.S. Department of Justice to abide by strict new limits when invoking the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which ostensibly protects medical facilities of all kinds (including pro-life pregnancy centers) but was used by the Biden administration to prosecute non-violent pro-life activists.
