WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — What do young people think about the Lindsay Clancy case? LifeSite reporter Wade Searle went to Georgetown University last Friday to find out.

Wade also presented students with a petition underscoring that the real victims in the tragedy are the three murdered Clancy children and their father, Patrick. You can sign it, too:

While on campus, Wade encountered reactions as varied as world-weary apathy and intellectual engagement with the trial. Young men seemed reluctant to judge the defendant, or even the women in pink who showed up outside the courthouse in the hundreds to support her. One student said that he had changed his own views after talking to women: “My mom got mad at me,” he confessed. “The women got to me, I guess.” In contrast, a young woman firmly expressed her conviction that Lindsay Clancy is guilty.

Wade also heard that postpartum mental health should be taken seriously and that it was “highly inappropriate” to use it to excuse child murder.

Lindsay Clancy has been charged with the murder of her three children. Her recent trial, which ended with a hung jury, has both gripped and divided the U.S.
