Help proclaim Christ is King on billboards across the U.S.: LifeFunder
NEW YORK (LifeSiteNews) — LifeSiteNews’ “Christ is King” billboards were displayed today on Broadway in New York City, placing images of Jesus Christ, St. Michael the Archangel, and the Blessed Virgin Mary in one of the most visible corridors in the United States.
The billboards proclaimed “Christ is King,” asked St. Michael the Archangel to “defend us in battle,” and urged “Our Lady Co-Redemptrix” to “pray for us.” They appeared on the world-famous avenue that leads toward Times Square, a stretch seen daily by millions of commuters, tourists, and residents.
On the scene in New York, LifeSite’s John-Henry Westen celebrated the appearance of the display, proclaiming it to be “beautiful” and thanking those whose donations and prayers made this effort possible.
“We’re at Big Apple Corner and we’ve just put up billboards that are all about Our Lady Co-Redemptrix, because Rome’s not proclaiming it, so we’re going to—you’re going to—right here, in the heart of everything,” he exclaimed.
“We’re going to put up Saint Michael the Archangel on this, his feast day. We’re going to put up ‘Christ is King,’ because we’re going to proclaim it, and I want to thank all of you who already did, God bless you!” Westen emphasized. “Direct evangelization on the streets, no apologies.”

The New York placement extended a campaign that has already been viewed by millions of people across 10 states: California, Florida, Texas, Indiana, Nebraska, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and New Jersey.
The Broadway displays were a public act of honor to Jesus Christ in a city and culture which has largely turned away from God, as is evidenced by the ongoing scourge of abortion, broken families, crime, vice, and lives devoid of meaning and filled instead with anguish and despair.
These visible signs of Christ’s kingship in the public square can confer grace upon souls, help lead them into an enhanced relationship with Him and thus assist in the restoration of society.
Today’s launch fell on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel, a fitting date chosen to highlight the display’s popular prayer requesting St. Michael’s intercession.
LifeSiteNews is trying to do its part to make Christ’s love and mercy known to those who do not know, or have forgotten about, Him.
When mankind turns back to Christ the King, society will be transformed. Babies will be cherished and protected once again, families and communities will flourish, and the grace of God will transform hearts and prepare souls for eternal life with Him.
