TORONTO, December 12, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Longtime pro-life prisoner of conscience Mary Wagner was arrested at a west-end Toronto abortion center Monday for attempting to non-violently intervene to save women and unborn babies from the violence of abortion.
Wagner, 42, was escorted by two Toronto Police officers from the Bloor West Village Women’s Center, which is located on the fourth floor of an office complex at 2425 Bloor West Village, shortly after noon on December 12.
Wagner had attempted to gain access to the abortion center, carrying with her, as is her custom, a bag of white and red roses, as well as pamphlets and cards.
It is presumed she managed to gain entrance to the abortion center that is owned and operated by 57-year-old abortionist Ninia Lupovici, who is also a licensed psychotherapist, and her business partner*.
She was apparently quickly ejected from the abortion facility, as a supporter who went to the fourth floor said Wagner was standing in the corridor in front of the door, which was guarded by a staff member.
Wagner was arrested on December 12, 2015, at the same abortion facility, and Lupovici subsequently testified during Wagner’s March 2016 trial that on that day, she took Wagner’s arm and tried to “pull her out…trying to push her out,” but “she kind of turned her arm around and I kind of fell out my own door…I lost a grip on her arm.”
Lupovici also testified that Wagner had asked women in the waiting room such questions as “Are you sure you want to kill your baby?”, “Why would you choose to take the life of your unborn child?”, “Do you realize you’re killing your baby?”, and told them that “Jesus loves you.”
The abortionist testified that such conduct was “stressful, it’s upsetting. There’s nothing to say to Mary to make any difference, so basically we have to wait for the police to come. In the meantime the women are upset.”
On this occasion, Wagner was arrested within 40 minutes of entering the office building, and taken to 11 Division by police officers Christina Trotter and David Rioux.
Wagner has been arrested an estimated 10 times and spent 4 1/2 years in jail over the last 16 years for attempting to peacefully intervene to rescue unborn children.
A devout Catholic, Wagner had chosen December 12 to attempt to counsel women at the abortion facility because it is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Catholic tradition, the patroness of the unborn.
After her arrest last year, Wagner spent 135 days in jail before she was convicted of mischief by Justice Katrina Mulligan, who dropped the two counts of breaching a probation order.
According to Officer Trotter, Wagner has this time been charged with one count of breach of probation.
Wagner is scheduled to appear for a “show cause” hearing at College Park Courthouse, Room 507, Tuesday morning, at 10 a.m.
