Dear readers,

Today we launch our very important summer campaign with a BIG problem. But fortunately, we also have a fabulous potential solution!

This amazing animation video created for us by Mirandum Pictures tells the story of our current situation far better than any words I could write in this letter. Please watch below:

I am also excited to give you extra background details about the special donor who inspired us to run this unusual summer campaign.

Just last month, a few of us traveled to the home of a couple who are enthusiastic LifeSiteNews readers and who had expressed great interest in helping us move to the next level in our news reporting.

As we were presenting the couple an overview of our past few years’ growth statistics and financial situation, they were struck by the contrast between our explosive growth in readership and the far slower growth in the number of people donating to LifeSiteNews.

They said we had to change our situation or else this exciting leap in readership would not be sustainable.

To them, it was obvious we had to give very high priority – right now – to dramatically increasing our donor base to match the readership growth.

Otherwise, they emphasized, the financial and other stresses of serving such a large, rapidly increasing readership would quickly overwhelm us and threaten the viability of LifeSiteNews.

And you know what? We realized they were right. If we are going to take our news service to the next level, supporting traffic from tens of millions more people and handling requests for news from increasingly more countries around the world – we have to expand!

Be a part of our truth mission – TODAY!

We have been ecstatic about the huge numbers of new readers who have been coming to LifeSiteNews for the best life and family news reports anywhere – but we need your help if we are going to remain a strong force to be reckoned with by those who seek to undermine life and family principles.

All this at a time when LifeSiteNews is so critically needed – when the culture war is white hot!

To get us started, this couple very generously offered to give us a check for $75,000 if we could convince a minimum of 3,500 individual persons to make a donation of any amount in the next 14 days.

Actually, they said they are hoping that as many as 7,500 people will make a donation. And, they are challenging every donor to give at least a $75 gift to LSN during this campaign!

However, they set the bare minimum goal of 3,500 donors for us to earn the $75,000. Also, since we understand that many cannot afford to give $75 (while others can give even more), donations of ANY amount will count towards reaching the minimum of 3,500 donors needed to receive the $75,000 check.

This time, and for the first time ever, the campaign thermometer will display only the current number of persons who have donated.

We need to reach the minimum number by the campaign end date of July 1st. However, donations can, as always, still be received after that date.

So there you have it.

Please, make as generous a donation as you can.  $10, $25, $50, $75, $150, $250, $500, $1,000 or even $5,000 – Whatever amount, large or small, your donation is vital to moving our mission forward.

And if you can’t donate, say a prayer that this campaign will be successful. We count those prayers as some of our biggest gifts of all.

We are hoping and praying for success during these two weeks of the campaign.

If you have not yet done so, now is the best time ever to become an active part of the LifeSiteNews team by making a commitment to this TRUTH in news mission with a financial contribution.
