Dear Readers,

We are now a week into our Christmas Campaign and we are excited to be starting on the right foot.  Praise for our new short film has been flooding in. Many have said that they cried while watching it, and thousands have shared it on Facebook. If you have not seen it yet, you really must!

This past year LifeSiteNews saw a 250% increase in unique viewers.  With so many new readers, many might not know what a donation to our mission actually does.

How do we use your money?

We are constantly surprising folks, particularly other pro-life and pro-family leaders, with the amount that we accomplish from year to year on a fraction of the budget of most organizations.

After all, with 10 full time staff and close to 10 part-time staff in 6 different countries, our annual budget should be 2-3 times larger than it is.

As a professional news serviced dedicated to providing top-quality reporting based on in-depth investigation, research, and exclusive interviews, we need a highly skilled staff.

Fortunately, we have been blessed to assemble a team of amazing journalists who are completely dedicated to journalistic excellence and spreading the pro-life and pro-family message.

Our talented staff, who would be paid at least double for the same work in the for-profit sector, make great sacrifices in their own lives to keep this mission going at a minimal cost.

Support the hard work of our staff with a donation today!

Then, of course, there are the costs associated with our database and email service, translating our reports into other languages, travel, equipment, and basic office supply needs.

And we haven’t even mentioned the costs associated with maintaining our website, which requires daily updating, frequent upgrading, continual development, and security protection.

Earlier this year we had to upgrade our server for the second time in less than a year, thanks to the rapidly increasing traffic to our website! To handle the millions of visits to our site every month, our server has to be incredibly powerful and must be maintained as well.

This is just a snapshot of all that goes into a days’ work here at LifeSiteNews.

And we do all of this for you, to provide you with the life, family, and culture news you have come to depend on.

With 19 days remaining, we have $125,000 to go.  That’s about $6,500 per day that we need to raise to reach our goal by December 31^st.

Every day tens of thousands of readers visit our site.  If only 65 of our readers (a fraction of 1%) gave $100 each day, we would reach our goal easily.

If only 2% of our daily readers gave only $5 each day for the next 19 days, we would easily reach our goal.

Perhaps you have the means to give $500, $1,000 or even $2,500 this Christmas.  Know that not one cent will be wasted.  After all, we don’t have money to waste!  Everything we raise must further our mission.

Please help us reach our goal this Christmas.  We are depending on you!
