MADISON, Wisconsin, June 23, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will soon sign a bill that will slash one million dollars of state and federal funding from Planned Parenthood, the largest U.S. abortion provider.

Gov. Walker, is expected to sign the defunding measure, which deprives public funds from nine of the 27 Planned Parenthood clinics in Wisconsin, by June 30.

The 27 sites that Planned Parenthood operates in the state include three abortion clinics, located in Appleton, Madison, and Milwaukee.

The $66 billion budget passed by the GOP-led Wisconsin legislature also includes a provision banning University of Wisconsin hospitals and clinics from performing abortions.

Wisconsin joins Indiana, Kansas, and North Carolina as the fourth state to cut public funds from Planned Parenthood over its abortion business.
