WISCONSON PASSES FETAL RIGHTS LAW

CHICAGO, May 14 (LSN) – On May 1, Wisconsin passed a law to protect the preborn children of mothers who abuse drugs and alcohol. The measure will empower the courts to order a substance abusing pregnant woman into a treatment program until her child is born.  Republican Governor Tommy G. Thompson is expected to give final approval to the law in a couple of weeks.
