SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 20, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Isabel Santana, 28, gave birth on Saturday to a healthy baby boy despite having a large tumor in her uterus which caused doctors to warn her to abort her child. Jeremi Johnny Antonio, a 6.8-pound (3 kilogram) baby was dwarfed by the 16-pound benign tumor in his mother’s uterus which was also removed during the caesarian. “The important thing is that I trusted God and my family because without them I would not have been able to do this,” said the happy mother.
