(LifeSiteNews) – A new film from The Center for Bioethics and Culture Network (CBCN) will highlight the harms of chemical and genital mutilation of gender dysphoric individuals and tell the stories of people who have “detransitioned” after living as a gender-confused individual.
The trailer for the film came out last week, while the film itself, called The Detransition Diaries: Saving Our Sisters, comes out this fall.
The movie “is a documentary film that recounts the stories of three young women, who felt that their trauma and dysphoria would be fixed by trying to medically transition from female to male,” according to CBCN.
“In The Detransition Diaries, you will meet Helena, Cat, and Grace, who all came from different backgrounds but shared similar struggles,” the organization explains in the video description on YouTube.
Not wanting to live in this world as female, all began medical transition by taking testosterone and one went as far as having a double mastectomy. Each changed their names, their hair, their pronouns, thinking that this would help them and relieve them from their duress and suicidal ideations. Nothing could have been further from the truth.
“This film offers a necessary gut check and a sobering invitation to examine what’s really going on behind the scenes of the gender industry,” wrote the CBCN.
Helena Kerschner has told her story frequently, including to Michael Knowles of the Daily Wire. Kerschner began taking testosterone injections soon after turning 18, with the help of a Planned Parenthood employee. She has warned that online pressure from blog site Tumblr led her to believe she was actually a male.
“The gender ideology is very prominent there,” she previously told Knowles. There are a lot of “social incentives” to change your pronouns and embrace gender ideology to stay in those online communities, according to Kerschner.
“My life just became like a total disaster,” Kerschner says in the trailer.
Another woman named Grace, says that after having a transgender surgery she immediately regretted it. She had both her breasts removed in 2017.
“Undeniable, like ‘oh no, what have I done?'” Grace says. “I don’t really feel better,” Grace says later in the trailer.
As politicians like President Joe Biden along with LGBT activists push to ensure children can chemically and surgically mutilate their bodies, “detransitioners” have continued to share their stories.
Those stories include a gender-confused man who shared his regrets in The Washington Post along with an annual “Detransition Awareness Day.”
