ABUJA, September 9, 2002 (LSN.ca) – The World Bank is pushing a pro-abortion education curriculum in Nigeria.  The curriculum has also come under fire for its graphic, sexually explicit content geared at children.  The Nigerian Weekly Trust interviewed Anglican bishop Joseph Idowu Fearon on the matter.  The World Bank and other international bodies have proposed the curriculum which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education.  The paper reports that beyond graphic sex, “The curriculum approves abortion. It will teach students that abortion is safe when done by a trained medical professional since they would do it correctly and would not create as much risk.”  See the Weekly Trust coverage from AllAfrica at:  https://allafrica.com/stories/200209050738.html
