KNOX COUNTY, Tennessee (LifeSiteNews) — A WWE star serving as mayor of Tennesse’s Knox County does not support funding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion vendor.

“Life is sacred – that’s why as Mayor of Knox County, I reject funding to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood,” wrestler-turned-mayor Glenn Jacobs wrote on Twitter on November 8.

Jacobs did not appear to be making reference to any specific legislation in the state. However, counties do sometimes contract with abortion vendors such as Planned Parenthood.

Jacobs has also been a vocal opponent of mask mandates and jab requirements.

He voted against a mandatory mask requirement in July 2020, as a member of the county health board.

“I worry that one-size-fits-all mandates such as this set a terrible precedent for government overreach, are difficult to enforce, can cause conflict between the authorities and the public when enforced, and, as written, this order places enforcement responsibilities on private businesses,” Jacobs said according to CBS-affilitated media source WVLT.

Jacobs also opposes mask mandates in schools. He said in October that he will not comply with federal vaccine mandates.

“President Biden’s vaccine mandate is unconstitutional,” Jacobs said.

“I will not stand for it because here in Knox County, we respect the Constitution,”he continued.

“We will not comply, period.”

Jacobs is better known to wrestling fans by his WWE ring-name “Kane.”
