INTERNET, Feb 17 (Lifesitenews.com) Microsoft and Yahoo showed complete intolerance for a resort which was said to restrict accommodations to heterosexual couples. According to a CNET story, Microsoft’s MSN Expedia travel site and two sites offering promotions through Yahoo, offered a sweepstakes promising a “romantic getaway” for two at the Sandals resort in Jamaica. When the companies learned of the heterosexual-couple only policy they reacted quickly and with indignation.
Both Microsoft and Yahoo removed links to, and promotions of the Sandals resort and also referred to the Sandals policy as “discriminatory.” While the company does not shine brightly in the eyes of pro-family groups since it does not insist on married couples only, the intolerance demonstrated by Yahoo and Microsoft is considered remarkable.
