March 29, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – “Prayer with fasting is good, but better than both is almsgiving with righteousness.” (Tob 12:8)
Perhaps many of you, like me, will be shocked to read that verse from Sacred Scripture in the book of Tobit. But it does give us the opportunity, at the close of this Lenten season, to make one more sacrifice for the Lord.

Pray, pray right now, about what you’re called to give.
If it’s nothing, so be it, but do pray for us. If you feel called to make a very large gift, do it and the Lord will reward you for it. As we enter the Easter Triduum let us stand under the Cross of Christ and let Him know we did our best to come closer to Him this Lent so that we may reign gloriously with Him in eternal Easter.
