April 1, 2019 (Radiance Foundation)  —  “Your genitals don't make you a boy or a girl.” This is Planned Parenthood's “gender spectrum” sex ed pseudoscience, championed by leading LGBT organizations including the ACLU, Lambda Legal, and Human Rights Campaign. It has rapidly become a religion among leftist politicians and Bible-evading churches where blasphemy can get you finedfired and finished financially

Welcome to the cult of transgenderism, where hucksters sell their poisonous ideology, the victims are scammed, and a liberal media spotlights the #fakenews face of the movement. The Left controls so much of the discussion, because it controls so many of the primary institutions that redefine the language — public schools, academia, the medical profession, legislatures, the entertainment industry and news media. Words are revolutionary. They brought the world into existence, start wars, bring healing, shape culture. They have meaning. When God spoke the words, “Let there be light,” the darkness was scattered. We see the reverse of that in our culture, today, as the truth that illuminates is blotted out. What happens when those with pervasive and largely inescapable influence decide to change the essence of words?

Slavery.

“Submission to a dominating influence” is how Merriam-Webster defines the word. We live in a society that wants to pretend scientifically irrefutable truths (binary gender, only women can become pregnant, male and female are determined at fertilization) are hostile to the concept of freedom. So instead, in a world that is desperate for objective truth and moral clarity, thought leaders (including many pastors) prefer a subjective surreality where confusion is celebrated, and afflictions are affirmed.

George Orwell, often cited only for his terrifyingly insightful and prescient novel, 1984, had so much more to say about the deliberate decay of our language. In his essay, “Politics and the English Language” he wrote about the intentional lack of precision: “Thus political language has to consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness.”

You mean like “pro-choice,” “non-traditional,” “gender-inclusive,” and “prostate-owner”?

What exactly is a “prostate-owner,” you ask? Well, according to soft-core porn mag Teen Vogue, it means those whose anatomy includes a prostate. Detesting the precision of language, they refuse to call that individual a male, hence, “prostate-owner.” I own a car. I don't think of my anatomical parts as possessions I own; they're merely a part of my male gender, determined by my DNA the moment I existed — at conception. For now, even PBS admits this. Planned Parenthood and its LGBT allies, on the other hand, pretend that sex is “assigned at birth” in their Gender Spectrum propaganda aimed at Kindergarten through 12th grade students. The abortion chain ignores established science about the sex of the unborn child — in addition to being encoded via DNA on Day 1 — can also be visibly determined via ultrasound as early as 11 weeks and with 99% accuracy after 17 weeks gestation.

But, we're modular now. We can swap out our unwanted parts. The old “Just Say No to Drugs” admonition has been replaced with “My Body! My (Carcinogenic Hormone) Blockers!” and the needless surgical severing of perfectly functioning organs. But hey, it's just part of the Gender Spectrum.

Keep in mind, the nation's largest abortion chain is adjusting its business model for the day when Roe will be overturned. Abortion currently brings in over 80% of their health services revenue, but they've recently added the euphemistically labeled transgender hormone therapy to their income stream.

I find all of this gender-identity worship simultaneously tragic and ludicrous. If self-identification is all that matters, why didn't those with my complexion simply “identify” as Caucasian during the civil rights era? They could've pulled a Rachel Dolezal and saved a lot of civil rights strife. Oh, the irony that black men like me had to publicly proclaim “I Am A Man.” Today, LGBTQXYZ activists — like Grammy-winning music artist Sam Smith — claim they don't know what they are.

When did confusion become a virtue and clarity a vice?

Why stop at gender? Perhaps some days I feel Asian. Maybe other days I feel Middle Eastern. I do love me some Mexican food, so I'm obviously Hispanic. I keep having those annoying and recurring dreams about never attending a whole semester's worth of college classes. I'm a Gen-Xer, but clearly, I subconsciously identify as a Millennial. We're encouraged to find freedom at the intersection of Feelings and Fiction.

Too many want to look at the world euphemistically but not accept the consequences of what happens realistically when we accept the “your truth, my truth” worldview.

I mean, the great philosopher of our day — Alyssa Milano — tweeted about this: “I'm trans. I'm a person of color. I'm an immigrant. I'm a lesbian. I'm a gay man. I'm the disabled. I'm everything.” Uh, no she's not. She's an abled-bodied, Caucasian American-born actress, who is heterosexually married. The pro-abortion feminist is now calling for a boycott of Georgia over the state's recently passed “Heartbeat Bill” which protects the unborn from being violently killed in the womb. So when she says she's “everything,” she apparently didn't mean the 'unborn'.

Too many Christian leaders, sadly, want to give Scripture reassignment surgery. They confuse capitulation for compassion.

Suffering is the consequence that results when we deviate from our design. This is true no matter the issue, no matter the sin. Love illuminates the truth no matter the resistance, no matter the consequences.

For anyone who'd like an actual thorough scientific take on gender spectrum pseudoscience, please read this fascinating report, “Sexuality and Gender,” from renowned psychiatrists Dr. Paul R. McHugh (former psychiatrist-in-chief at the Johns Hopkins Hospital) and Dr. Lawrence S. Mayer (professor of statistics and biostatistics at Arizona State University).

For the even more important spiritual angle, Dr. Michael Brown offers a sound Biblical perspective on homosexuality. He delivers this, as he always does, with care and concision.

There is too much at stake to wave this extremism off as “personal freedom”. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. And that starts with being told the truth.
