October 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) –The LifeSite petition supporting Jeffrey Younger — the father who has valiantly fought to keep his son, James, from being made to imitate a girl by his mother — continues to gain huge support!

It has just broken the crucial 50,000 signature mark!

The petition, in part, calls for the governor’s office to intervene on James’s behalf and also to protect other children from similar situations in the future.

That part of the petition reads:

Everyone recognizes that children should not be victimized because of their parents’ disputes.

Simply put: this kind of maltreatment…the so-called “transing” of a child — seemingly involving psychological manipulation, threats of off-label use of puberty blockers, among other things — is a deplorable and unconscionable abuse of power.

Last night, a ray of hope appeared for James and Jeffrey. Texas governor Greg Abbott tweeted:

This is good news, but the judge in the case, Kim Cooks, will issue her ruling today. Her orders could include prohibiting Mr. Younger from calling James by his legal name. They will also clarify specifics including possession schedules, child support, and other details.

“We still need to keep the pressure up,” said Scott Schittl, one of LifeSite’s petition coordinators. “Americans are now waking up to the reality of what pushing transgenderism means. They aren’t happy about what’s being done to little children with the support of the courts.

“Plain and simple: The jury got it wrong on this one. Everyone knows that a 7-year-old should not be forced by a parent or a court to be passed off as the sex he isn’t. They are not capable of making decisions that will affect the rest of his life,” he concluded.

Anyone may still SIGN this petition, as a sign of prayerful solidarity with Mr. Younger and his son, James.

These signatures of support will be personally delivered to Mr. Younger and to Texas governor Greg Abbott.

LifeSite will be asking Governor Abbott to work with the Texas state attorney general and Texas Child Protective Services to ensure that James Younger will not be “transitioned” — will not face drugs to suppress his natural bodily functions and eventual mutilating surgery to cut out his healthy male organs and replace them with fake doctor-created female-looking anatomy.

We will also ask the governor to work with the Texas state Legislature to ensure that this type of manipulation and abuse of a child cannot take place in Texas again and that, at a minimum, some legal action will be taken to guarantee that no medical assistance or off-label use of medication can be used to in the “transgender” drugging or planned mutilation of minors.
