January 27, 2021 (American Thinker) — Joe “China” Biden took office, and suddenly, Democratic Party governors begin loosening their China virus lockdowns. Joe's in charge, don'cha know, so the virus is on its way out. Heck, even the World Health Organization finally admits that the settings commonly used for COVID tests produce far too many false positives, thus inflating the number of cases and contributing to the panic engendered by months of media exaggeration and fear-mongering.

Meanwhile, journalism continues to fail us in digging into what is going on with COVID, ignoring an area of inquiry that could enlighten us about the real effects of the virus in this country.

Did you know, for example, that of about 200 countries, in fatalities the United States comes in at number 11, with 1,302 COVID deaths per million population? That's right: 189 countries have lower deaths per million population than we do. (This is as of Jan. 26, according to the statistics posted here.) The worst are Gibraltar, 2,048; San Marino, 1,913; Belgium, 1,791; Slovenia, 1,636; United Kingdom, 1,471; Czechia, 1,457; Italy, 1,431; Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1,414; Lichtenstein, 1,362; North Macedonia, 1,350.

Then comes the good old USA, with its sclerotic federal health agencies that got caught unprepared for an epidemic, let alone a pandemic: 1,302 deaths per million population. Recall the fuss about Sweden not locking down, reported in the press a few months ago? What's Sweden's tally? 1,110. Not great, but better than our locked down number.

Bulgaria beat us. Hungary beat us. Spain beat us. Mexico, France, Switzerland, Argentina, Armenia.

You'd never know this from U.S. media.

Some of these countries come in with numbers that, while lower than ours, are not much lower — for example, Brazil at 1,021.

Many numbers are spectacularly lower: Poland, 943; Chile, 938; Romania, 936. Or lower yet: Germany, 642; Latvia, 601; Ireland, 591.

No president in recent memory, including Ronald Reagan, has done as much to defend innocent preborn children as President Trump.

And, no president in recent memory has done as much to defend our freedoms of speech and religion as President Trump.

Promises made, promises kept. Please see the 'For More Information' section below for a comprehensive list of President Trump's accomplishments for Life, Faith and Freedom.

And, please SIGN and SHARE this petition of gratitude and thank President Trump for all he has done in defense of Life, Faith and Freedom.

On the issues of Life and Family, President Trump has accomplished the following amongst many others:

  • Appointed three supreme court justices, including Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanagh, and Neil Gorsuch, who all appear to hold pro-life values.
  • Reinstituted the Mexico City Policy - preventing American aid from funding abortion and the promotion of abortion.
  • Kept his promise on judicial appointments by appointing more conservative men and women to federal courts of appeals than any president in American history.
  • Put the U.S. into the Geneva Consensus Declaration, which states that family is the "natural and fundamental group unit of society..."
  • And, signed legislation to empower states to defund Planned Parenthood.

And, on the issues of Faith and Freedom, President Trump has done the following amongst many others:

  • Lifted the Obama administration’s contraception mandate that required religious employers like the Little Sisters of the Poor to participate in the provision of contraceptives and abortifacients.
  • Issued an Executive Order on "Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty," granting churches more freedom to speak about political issues and elections.
  • Established a White House office tasked with fielding the concerns of religious Americans and monitoring threats as they arise.
  • Released a guidance affirming students have the right to pray in public schools.
  • Announced a new International Religious Freedom Alliance that joins more than two dozen countries to push for religious tolerance and an end to religious persecution.

Again...promises made, promises kept.

Thank you, President Trump, for fighting hard to defend Life, Faith and Freedom. Your legacy will live on, long after you have left office, and we applaud your courage and foresight to fight for these most vital of issues.

May God bless the next chapter of your life, and please keep fighting for Life, Faith, Freedom!

Please SIGN and SHARE to THANK President Trump for doing his best to protect Life, Faith and Freedom!

And there are about 75 nations that have fewer than 100 deaths per million, among them Iceland, Bangladesh, and Japan. What are these countries doing that the United States should be and considering?

Granted, there are a multitude of reasons why any nation may have lower rates than another — for example, remoteness, climate, wealth, even religion. But with so much evidence that other nations are doing better, why are our media not asking these kinds of questions? Granted, they have been so obsessed with trashing Trump that they've had little energy left for anything else. But still…

One of the lowest death rates is India's at 111. Wouldn't you think some editor somewhere would notice that India's rate is about 1/11 of ours and ask why? If he did, he would find that India relies heavily on hydroxychloroquine. He might find that some lower numbers might also be due to India exporting hydroxy to 108 nations, where, unlike in the U.S., hydroxy is not restricted by government agencies and medical societies. If hydroxy use doesn't at least partly explain the lower death rates around the world, what does? Where are the reporters asking these questions?
