LA CROSSE, Wisconsin, November 24, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Cardinal Raymond Burke will offer a Pontifical High Mass in the Extraordinary Form on December 10 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which he founded.

This is the first-ever Extraordinary Form Pontifical Mass to take place at the Shrine. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burke will be assisted by priests from the Institute of Christ the King, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, and the Diocese of La Crosse.

The Mass is sponsored by Una Voce of La Crosse.

The Shrine is located at 5250 Justin Rd., La Crosse, Wisconsin, 54601. Its website can be viewed here.

The Mass is open to the public.

Burke is one of the most well-known defenders of Catholic orthodoxy and liturgical tradition. A doctor encouraged his mother to abort him, but she refused, believing that Christ would give her the help she needed. Burke was born healthy even though his mother had fallen ill while pregnant.
