Cecile Richards doesn't like how the Center for Medical Progress is dragging out the release of their undercover videos exposing the abortion giant's trade in aborted baby parts.

I don't blame her. After all, when you don't know what's going to be in the next video, it's hard to know which lies you'll be able to get away with.

For instance, one of your affiliates might post a meme to their Facebook page flatly denying that they engage in any “fetal tissue donation or research” whatsoever, and that, “There is nothing to investigate.”

And then, a few days later, CMP might release a video shot inside one of the abortion clinics owned by that same Planned Parenthood affiliate, showing workers sorting through the dismembered arms and legs of a 20-week gestation fetus and discussing pricing and profit.

So, I can understand Cecile's frustration.

She let it boil over the other day on her Facebook page, when she posted a brief quotation from a Wall Street Journal article, saying she “seconded” the quote.

The quote described the slow release of the videos as a form of “water torture” motivated by “politics.”

Seconded. “What is bothering me is the leaking of the tapes one at a time. If you’re concerned about what’s going on,…

She's absolutely right of course. The slow release of the videos is politics – and brilliant politics at that.

CMP knows full well that if it released all the videos at once, Planned Parenthood's friends in the media and Congress, and cowardly pro-life politicians, would smile and nod and mutter promises to “do something” about all that, and then quietly sweep the whole thing under the carpet.

CMP also knows that the material it has is dynamite – that the realities exposed in their videos are so shocking, so awful, so downright galling, that even if they drag the release out over the space of weeks, the public will continue to watch them and share them.

Finally, CMP knows that in this business of exposing the truth about Planned Parenthood, they can't count on any of the mainstream media to get the word out there. They must rely on grassroots outrage, which must be stoked and kept burning, so that finally everyday Americans will rise up and demand that their elected officials do something.

For Cecile Richards this is a form of “water torture.” But I say that if she wants to know a thing or two about real torture, she should watch CMP's videos to find out what happens to the babies that are torn apart limb from limb in her own abortion clinics.
