When scanning the news I sometimes read a headline that makes me yearn for the day when government leaders acknowledge abortion as the despicable violence against the weakest minority group that it really is, and pledge to do something about it.

Take this headline yesterday from the Toronto Star: “Ottawa announces plan to address violence against aboriginal women.”

I know the day will come when this headline will be changed to: “Ottawa announces plan to address violence against pre-born children.”

How do I know this? Because truth always wins in the end. Right always wins over wrong, goodness over evil. Life and love is always more powerful than death and hate.

The current subtext reads: “Labour Minister Kellie Leitch outlined initiatives planned to combat the issue, including empowerment projects for women and girls, and the development of community safety plans.”

When that day comes when abortion is addressed for the horror it really is, the subtext will read: “Labour Minister so-and-so outlined initiatives planned to combat the issue, including empowerment projects for pregnant women and girls, and the development of community safety plans for the pre-born.”

When the truth becomes universally recognized that abortion is the wrongful killing of a member of the human family, then, and only then, will we begin to see headlines from media giants that say it like it is.
